With just a few hours left to begin the AFCON which is scheduled to be played in Cameroon from January 9th to February 6th, Senason sports has put together a list of young players to watch out for.
2. Second on our list is 17 year old Ghanaian playmaker Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. He plays for Dreams FC in the Ghanaian Premier League and also has 6 goals to his credit this season. He was also crowned the player of the tournament at the just ended U-20 AFCON which was won by Ghana.
3. Third on our list is Guinean midfielder Ilaix Moriba. He plays for RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. Moriba is also a product from La Massia and also made few appearances for Barcelona.
4. Our fourth player is 16 year old Mauritanian player Beyatt Lekoueiry how plays for local side AS Douanes. He earn his call to play at the Afcon by putting up a dazzling performance at the just ended Arab Cup in Qatar. He also makes history by becoming the youngest player to appear in the competition.
5. Our fifth player is 18 year old Tunisia defender Hannibal Mejbri. He plays for Manchester United in the EPL. He was awarded the young African talent by beating likes of Adam Zorgane and Edmond Tapsoba.
6. Sixth on our list is 17 year old Ivorian wonderkid Karim Konaté. He is an attacker who players for local side Asec Mimosas and has 12 goals and for assists to his credit this season.
7. We also have 18 year old Ethiopian defender Mesaf Awol who plays for Bahir Dar Kenema in the Ethiopian league.
8. Another player on our list is 19 year old Burkina Faso defender Yacouba Nasser Djiga who plays for FC Basel in Switzerland.
9. We also have 20 year old Equitorial Guinean forward Luis Asué Nlavo. He represents SC Braga U-23 in Portugal and has 5 goals and 2 assist to his credit.
10. Our tenth player is 19 year old Guinea Bissau goalkeeper Manuel Baldé. He plays for FC Vizela in Portugal and also a product of Benfica.
1. First on our list is 18year old Senegalese midfielder Pape Matar Sarr. He plys his trade with Metz in the French Ligue 1 on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. He already 1 goal and an assist this season.
