Following the Ghana vs Portugal match that kicked off at 16:00 GMT in Qatar on Thursday, 24th November with Portugal winning by three goals, Ghanaian social media users are very unhappy about a penalty that was approved by the referee against Ghana.
Between the 60th and 70th minutes of the game Christiano Ronaldo seen to have been attacked by Ghana’s Salisu Sarki in the penalty box. The referee orders a penalty immediately he spotted that. Many Ghanaians on the pitch were unhappy by that decision taken by the referee as he was pursued to confirm from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) of which he refused.
“We were robbed” is the phrase that that is popularly spotted on social media platforms in Ghana as that penalty ended in Portugal’s first goal against Ghana.
